About CISNA

CISNA is a government run orphanage for street children (boys). They attend school on site and have vocational training, including learning to sew so they can get jobs in the Maquiladoras. The Orphanage is located in San Salvador, El Salvador.

The facility is severely under-funded and has a shortage of staff. The children sleep in large open rooms (no airconditioning or heat) on cots. All these kids own is a towel and a donated tooth brush. The school has very few books, and is solely dependent on donations.

We are collecting money for books in Spanish, soccer balls, materials for vocational education and art supplies. The collected funds will be sent to a contact in El Salvador, where it will be spent to buy the items listed.
